Installing

Upgrading from Rodin 2.1

TODO: Make a link with better explanations and screenshots

  • download archive rodin-2.1.1-repo.zip
  • unzip it somewhere
  • launch Rodin 2.1
  • Help > Install New Software... > Add... > enter a name (for instance "Rodin 2.1.1") then
Local... > select the root directory of the unzipped archive (containing content.xml and artifacts.xml)
  • change options in the bottom of the page so that
  • "Show only the latest versions of available software" and "Hide items that are already installed" are checked
  • "Group items by category" and "Contact all update sites..." are unchecked
the central area should now list 6 entries, among which 2 are named "Rodin Platform"
one of them only will successfully install
  • select the last one, click "Next"
  • if an error message "The operation cannot be completed. See the details." appears at the top, click "Back" and select the other "Rodin Platform" entry instead
  • when the good one has been selected, a message "Your original request has been modified. See the details." appears at the top
  • click Next
  • accept license
  • click Finish
  • click OK on the Security Warning popup
  • click Restart Now
